Kensey had an appointment to go over the financial reports, So I went along with him to help out.
He said he received a call from the Treasurer confirming the appointment a couple of days before.
We arrived at the appointment; however, when we got there we were told that the appointment was cancelled because the 2008 reports were at the Auditor's office, and the 2009 reports to the present were in the computer.
We asked the President [Mike DaVaney] if we could at least have a copy of those. He told us that it was password protected and could not be opened because the Secretary was the only one that had it; and she was out on sick leave.
I asked why didn't the Treasurer [Rob Gross] have a password for it, and was told that he had mistakenly left the program open one time and that the privilege was taken from him.
So I asked, God forbid, what if something happens to the Secretary, what would happen then, seeing how she is the only one who has the password?
The president then told me that he would be sure and get it when she gets back.
I asked, but what if something happened to her before she gets here seeing she was to have surgery?
The President then told me, Oh yeah, we have the password in the safe but only Andre Joseph has the combination.(Andre was inconveniently absent from the building at this time).
So I asked, could he print us a copy of the reports? He said that he could not access it because our current server could not access it in a read only format. We are getting a new Server that has that capability.
I then asked the Secretary/Treasurer, who had just arrived, if he had a hard copy in his files, and may we have a copy of that? He told us that no, he does not keep a copy.
He said however that he would make us another appointment, after the Secretary comes back and gets caught up.
